On February 9th, a live broadcast titled "Criminal Law Protection of Business" was held, focusing on financial crimes.
The speakers included Elena Pustovit, and attorneys Yerlan Adaev and Yerbol Kanafіn. The session was moderated by Dana A. Tokmurzina.
During the live session, the speakers examined the most common types of crimes, highlighting fraud, mining, and thefts within enterprises.
Elena Pustovit discussed issues related to liability for tax crimes and the advisability of contacting the prosecutor's office, drawing on her own experience in public service.
Yerlan Adaev explained how excessive trust (such as handing over electronic signature keys) and lack of control can lead to thefts within enterprises, including by management. He emphasized that such crimes are quite common. Leveraging his many years of experience in public service, Yerlan provided practical cases on preventing white-collar crimes.
Yerbol Kanafіn stressed the importance of cooperation with government agencies. He believes that there is no point in "finding connections" to solve problems. First and foremost, everything should be done according to the law, and secondly, it's essential to immediately seek help from a qualified lawyer.
This broadcast marked an important step in discussing the criminal law protection of businesses. The lawyers agreed that one can enter an interrogation with one status and leave with a completely different one. Clarity of mind, order in business, and a strong legal team are the keys to business protection.
