Alibek Kemelov joined Fortune Partners LLP in 2024 and is the manager of customs practice.и тAt the company, he handles issues of providing practical assistance during customs inspections, conducting customs reviews (audits) at clients' requests, consulting on sensitive issues (customs value and HS classification), and supporting clients in appealing Notifications from customs authorities (pre-trial and judicial appeal procedures).
Before joining the Company, he worked for 17 years in the customs service of the Republic of Kazakhstan in various management positions, heading different areas of activity in the customs service of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Alibek is a participant in working groups on the development and refinement of customs draft laws and regulatory legal acts.
While serving in customs authorities, he dealt with issues related to conducting customs inspections, monitoring value, classifying goods, controlling conditionally released goods associated with the provision of benefits and preferences, and participating in court proceedings with participants in foreign economic activity.
