Asel Iskakova has more than 13 years of professional legal experience in Kazakhstan, including 5 years at an international consulting company.

Asel advises and assists clients on corporate, contractual, environmental, procurement law, and currency legislation matters, and also represents clients' interests in courts.

Asel specializes in investment legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and helps foreign and local companies conclude investment contracts (IC, SIC, SIA) to obtain preferences and state support measures in the form of in-kind grants, tax and customs benefits, as well as quotas for attracting foreign labor.

Asel also supports clients in structuring company activities within the AIFC jurisdiction.

Asel's experience includes legislative activities: supporting KazakhExport JSC in preparing the draft law on the Export Credit Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2021-2022); supporting KazakhInvest NC on developing the Rules for organizing a "one-stop shop" for investors, as well as the procedure for interaction in attracting investments (2024).
