Rustem has been a Manager in the Tax Practice at Fortune Partners since 2026. His work covers tax advisory, international taxation, and support in pre-trial and court appeals against tax audit results. He has a successful record of representing clients before the courts of Kazakhstan.

His experience includes advising major industrial holdings, oil companies — including wholesale and retail distributors of petroleum products — and subsoil users. At Fortune Partners he supports clients during tax audits, prepares supporting documentation and conducts tax due diligence.

He has also advised the banking sector on international taxation, national legislation and compliance of accounting practices with IFRS requirements.

Rustem holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Relations from Nazarbayev University and a Bachelor of Laws in International Law from Kunaev University.
